  Wonderful experience!!
  We went to Bar Garcia for my husband's 40th bday celebration. There was 16 of us. I had called them ahead of time & they gave us the whole bar area & the two long tables to use. We ordered appetizers & drinks. And let me tell you... we had a blast.
  It was almost like a private bar, the ambiance is fabulous & has a lot of characters. The decorations is very beautiful & it almost made me feel I'm not even in LA. Perhaps SF or NYC feel to it.
  Bob the bartender hooked it up. He made the most delicious drinks for us. We all enjoyed everything & our bill wasn't even that much.
  Everyone had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this spot.

  This is for the customer service I experienced trying to book a large party for this place. I haven't actually got to experience the food.
  
  Was trying to book a dinner reservation for a party of 20 for a work event. I had emailed, called and left a message with an employee for the manager, sent a follow up email when I didn't receive a call back, and just called again and finally spoke to a manager.
  
  The employee asked which email I had sent the email to, and I stated the email and she confirmed that goes to the bar Garcia manager. At this point she could have told me they wouldn't be able to accommodate our party because, as I found out today, they are going to be closed for renovations. When I didn't get a call back from the manager on Monday, I sent a follow up email on Tuesday. Still no response. So today a Wednesday I called again and finally spoke to a manager. I believe she said her name was Christine. She asked me again what email I had sent to, I confirmed the email again and she said sorry I didn't get the messages. Even then, I called and left a message so you aren't receiving phone messages either? Seems the communication has a severe breakdown. I could have saved time and energy with a quick response from someone on their team.
  
  My suggestion is to keep calling if you are trying to plan a large party because according to them their email doesn't receive messages.
  
  Not sure if I'm willing to give this place another chance even in a smaller group simply due to the lack of response.

  Came in for a gin and tonic and I was not disappointed.  
  
  The bartender and patrons are very welcoming and the bartender knowledgeable about the liquors.  
  
  I wished I hadn't eaten before I came but will be back to try the food offerings.

  Everything was delicious! The restaurant is very small and of course trying to find parking in DTLA is terrible... but I was really surprised by how yummy and pretty everything was.
  
  Would come back in a heartbeat.

  The food here is out of this world! One of the most delicious experience I've had in awhile! There's a reason why it's rated so well. The branzino and the truffle potato dip dish is A MUST. The heirloom tomato salad was refreshing and every bite I savored it. The uni bucatini was perfect al dante with the most delicious creamy sauce that wasn't over the top heavy. I'll definitely be back here frequently and try other items on the menu!
